We will work towards the following objectives in our activities.
The distinction between CSR and ESG
CSR and ESG – Compatible, but Not the Same
Many firms already have corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, which differ from ESG programs in specific ways. CSR initiatives are voluntary and tend to focus on improving a company’s relationships with external constituencies. For example, CSR managers might oversee corporate philanthropy or partnerships with community groups. ESG programs are generally implemented as a broader corporate strategy to address investor or regulatory demands. ESG practice involves fairly rigorous measuring and reporting on environmental, social, and corporate governance activities to understand the risks and impacts.
ESG is less well known. We work ESG (Invironmental, social and governance) but use the more commonly recognised CSR (Company Social Responsibility) when explaining our environmental and social work.
“The time of savage capitalism is over! The future needs to be built on a market economy, where social responsibility plays an important role. Raw, uncaring capitalism does not survive in the long run. Your contribution to building a caring capitalism will be needed.”
Ingvar Kamprad Founder IKEA, "My thoughts to a future entrepreneur", October 2005
CSR – Company Social Responsibility.
CSR includes how we look at environmental, social and Governance factors. We have the possibility to change the way we look at fuel, the desert and Co2 and therefor a responsibility to make that sustainable in every way to nature, climate, population and our countries.
With us you can rely on that this department of our work is at the very core. In every part of the production-chain, this has been the most important.
Environmentally we want to reduce the spreading of the desert and make it arable again, we foresee an up-rise in biodiversity, better animal-feed for both wildlife and domestic stock, less pollutants and less Co2.
Socially we want to re-invest our profits into the population and the infrastructure of the Country.
Our Governance policy is in place to make sure that all these things are implemented in the best way possible for all stakeholders.
This is important to the local communities where we operate, to us and to our investors.
